Included are all the necessary parts to install your new overhead unit. Inside the box you will find the power lead with quick disconnect and buss bar ends. There will be 4 clamps, 4 button head that go into the clamps and mount to the ends of the unit. Couple Zip ties to clean up your work. Installation is a breeze, You can do it yourself or get a pair of helping hands.
Installation:
First install the 4 clamps on the roll cage. To do this move to the inside of the machine. Take a clamp and with the flat side facing up, push it between the bottom of the roof and top of the roll bar and rotate it until the flat part of the clamp is now on the bottom. Measure roughly 16″ and place the next clamp and repeat for the other side. (Sometimes it’s easier to start in the front as that is the smallest the roll cage are apart). Once the clamps are in place lift one side of the unit and set it above the clamps, run the button head through the clamp into the Tubing and do the same for the other side. Take your Allen key and just snug them up, no need for massive force to hold them in place. If you over tighten them, you will spin out the Rivet Nut. Remove the Fuse from the power Supply cord and fish the wires to your bus bar behind the center console. Connect red to positive and black to ground. Loop any remaining wire behind the dash. Install Fuse and clean up your mess, your done. Now Go Riding.
Cleaning:
Do not spray with water. These are not Water Proof. Electronics do not like water. Use air to blow them off. This is common sense, Try to keep them dry as possible.
This is how your clamp should look, If the rubber on the clamp doesn’t look like this, You will need to trim it back with a pair of Scissors.
